Are you looking to take your hiking to the next level ? Want to build the confidence to get off the beaten track and camp in the wilderness ? Join us for a fun & unique Snowdonia wild camping weekend experience. Immerse yourself in some of the quietest parts of Snowdonia National park while enhancing your navigation skills and setting up your camp along the way. Supported by our experienced guide Tom, former Marine Commando, you will develop the skills and confidence to plan and execute a great camping trip in the outdoors alongside in-depth understanding of the environment and how to camp in the wild. GROUP SIZE : Small groups of no more than 8. Minimum of 4 for trip to proceed. Traveling solo ? no problem ! a great chance to meet new people who love what you love. Your guides are also here to make sure you have a great time. DISTANCE & DIFFICULTY Moderate. You don’t need any previous wild camping experience however hiking experience is desirable Expect approx 6-9miles of hiking on Saturday and 3-6miles on Sunday ITINERARY Day 1 - Saturday 14th May 0900 Meet your guide at Petes Eats Diner Llanberis Nth Wales LL55 4EU Local free parking or large pay display carpark by Lake 0920 After a quick brief around weather and route planning we head off for a hike for the day. Testing our navigation , map reading along the way. 1600 Identify suitable location for the evenings campsite and learn to setup camp the right way. During the evening you will benefit from our guide’s years of experiences as you wild camp including an intro to night and star navigation and other survival skills. Day 2 - Sunday 15th May 0800 Breakfast followed by camp packdown 0900 Further navigation exercises before we start our journey back to the base 1345 Debrief and depart WHAT TO BRING Your guides are here to support you as you prepare to pack, cook and set up camp ( An important step for a successful trip!). A kit list and meal suggestions will be shared ahead of the trip and our guides will be available for a pre-trip call to answer any questions. If there are larger kit items like tent/stove that you don't yet have , please let us know and we can either provide recommendations for your budget or help provide these for your first trip.
